The Iranian Law and Legal Research Institute expresses its deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. Mohammad Ali Okhovat, a distinguished, honorable, and highly respected member of Iran's judiciary.
Throughout many years of devoted service to the cause of justice, Dr. Okhovat earned widespread respect for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the rule of law. He also served as a valued member of the Editorial Board of the Institute's peer-reviewed journal, Critical Analysis of Judicial Decisions, making significant scholarly contributions and remaining a steadfast supporter of the Institute's academic mission. His passing is a profound loss to the legal and judicial community.
That he departed this world during the days of mourning for Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) is regarded as a blessed distinction for the late scholar. We pray that Almighty God grants him His infinite mercy, elevates his rank in the Hereafter, and admits him among the righteous. We also extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who were privileged to know him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever remain honored.
