Abstract
In the rulings of the Supreme Court called Unification of Judgment Decision, regarding cases where multiple injuries lead to determining the amount of blood money or atonement that reaches half of the full amount, a dispute arose as to whether the blood money for an injury should reach half of the full amount in order to be appealable in the Supreme Court or If the total quorum reaches this quorum, the jurisdiction of the court in the appeal proceedings will be realized. This dispute was resolved by the Iranian General Board of the Supreme Court in such a way that the sum of damages for the total injuries is sufficient to establish the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and there is no need for one injury to have such an amount of damages. This Unification of Judgment Decision issued on number 808 seems to be contrary to the philosophy of matters assigned to the Supreme Court and it does not seem to have any correspondence with other issues of jurisdiction in this regard.
